Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URjVxGxil_k&feature=share
Let me start with we kicked butt and won. SUCK MY KAYAK.... oh ya.

Achievements:

Define the Problem and Brainstorm: We decided we needed a big boat with tons of floatability. We threw idea's around and we decided a landing boat design was best.

Big Brain: Although most of my idea's were stupid. I probably said the most

Criteria and Constraints:
Criteria: Make the boat float
Constraints:
1. Only can be made of duct tape and cardboard.
2. No staples
3. Cardboard must meet quality standard.

Sketches and Prototypes:

Define the Problem and Brainstorm Solutions - State the problem you are designing a solution for. List at least 20 ideas you have regarding your solution. SEE ABOVE PICTURES
Big Brain - The individual student with the most brainstorms listed will earn a bonus achievement. I had the most ideas.... probably not the best, but the one boat we used me and Israel came up with it.
Criteria & Constraints - List or reference the specified Criteria and Constraints you're designing for. List at least one implied criteria. List at least three implied contsraints. See above the pictures the constraints and criteria.
Sketch Ideas - Above pictures
Prototype Ideas - Craft physical prototypes (models) of each of your three sketches. Use a notecard or post it note to call out at least one key feature on each model. Post the images to your blog and describe the key feature that you've pointed out on each. See the above pictures.
Select an Approach - Generate feedback (+, change, ?, !) and make a decision matrix regarding your sketches/prototypes. Specify the approach you've chosen and justify your selection.

Positvie- the landing boat design was by far the best choice. Good balance and lots of weight distribution.
Negative- Lots of supplie need to make it.
Questions- Why we built that? We were asked it alot. And we all just came to the conclusion it sounded and looked cool. So we went with the best idea.
Change- Make it smaller and more dense to help float better and use less materials.

The video from a few posts up supports all of the below achievements. :)
Build Achievements:Build It!
The Early Bird Gets the Achievement - Awarded to the team with the fastest build. We finished our design first. Had to tune it up but we defienetly finished first.
V-Bottom - Earn this by building a non-flat bottom. We curved it up at the very edge. Was completely flat.

Test Achievements: SEE VIDEO!!!
The Fastest - Awarded to the first team to reach the far side (25yds)
The Farthest - Awarded to the team that can travel the furthest (laps)
The Longest - Awarded to the team with the watercraft that floats the longest (multiple teams may be awarded this achievement if multiple boats remain afloat at the end of our competition period).
Balance Master - Awarded if you can have at least one person stand for 5 seconds in the boat (you must conduct this away from the edge of the pool so that non one falls over and hits their head)
Videographer - Take video of the challenge and post to your blog.
- Build your watercraft. Document it with a presentable photo.
